  1. Project Overview

A stone’s throw from Kensington Palace, this Victorian townhouse sits within the De Vere Gardens Conservation Area. One half of a distinctive pair, its four-storey, double-fronted façade was carefully restored to reinforce its relationship with the neighbouring house and strengthen its character within the conservation area.

Originally fragmented into small, dark rooms, the home was reconfigured to create generous, connected spaces that maximise natural light. A sculptural staircase connects all four levels, while soft curves, natural materials and bespoke joinery create a calm, cohesive interior that complements the grandeur of the original architecture.
  2. “Our aim was to bring the grandeur and verticality of the existing façade into the interior, while restoring its character and creating a contemporary home defined by natural light, movement and connection.”
    Steve Clinch, Partner

  3. “The narrow footprint meant every element had to work hard. By opening up the plan and carefully considering the movement of light, we created spaces that feel generous, connected and quietly expansive.”
    Manon Decoster, Associate Architect
